Congratulations to Shavano Park Fire Department and Chief Michael Naughton. The City of Shavano Park officially announced that the City of Shavano Park Fire Department has earned the prestigious ISO rating of 2 from the Insurance Services Office (ISO), Inc.’s Public Protection Department. There are a limited number communities nationwide that have achieved a level of this status, according to ISO records.

What this means for all Shavano Park Real Estate owners? According to Shavano Park City Hall’s website, residents could receive the maximum credit on their insurance premiums. Shavano Park Real Estate owners should contact their insurance providers and question whether their premiums will be impacted by the new classification rating. With a Class 2 ISO rate, Shavano Park Real Estate owners are likely to see a 10 – 15% decrease in property insurance premiums.
